01. School Times and Hours

Hours are strictly 07:00 – 12:30 (half day) and 07:00 – 17:15 (full day). Children fetched after 12:30 and 17:15 in the afternoon will be charged an extra R200.00 every half hour.
The school will be closed for 2 weeks in June / July holidays and the last 2 weeks in December.

June / July holiday care will be available at a small additional fee of R100 per day.
The only other closure for the year will be Easter and other official public holidays. Parents will be informed well in advance of any other days that the school will be closed.

02. Bedding

Each full-day child is to bring their own small pillow and blanket to nap in the afternoons. This bedding is to be taken home every week on a Friday and to be washed and brought back on the following Monday.

03. Birthday parties

Your child’s birthday party may be held on a Friday, if his/her party clashes with another child, they will be allocated the following Friday

04. Clothes and bags

All clothes and bags must be marked. Kimmie Kids will take no responsibility for the loss of unmarked items. Children are to come to school in clothing that is comfortable and can be dirtied, NOT new clothing.

05. Extra-murals

External and independent service providers offer extra mural activities at school. These external operators provide these activities with no formal association to our facility.
The school does not benefit financially from the extra-murals.
Kimmie Kids takes no responsibility for payment exchanges on our premises in view of these services.

06. Fund-raisers

Fund raisers will occur throughout the year in the form of Easter
Egg hunts, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts, Spring Day, and the end of year Christmas Concert. Please support these, as all the proceeds go towards repairs and supplies of the school as well as staff bonuses.

07. Meals

A cooked breakfast at 08:30 of maize porridge/oats/mabela/corn flakes/weetbix will be served.
Juice will be served mid-morning at 10:00.
Lunch at 12:00 will include a cooked meal of at least 1 protein, 1 starch, 1 vegetable. Snacks at 14:30 will include one of the following daily: fruit, yogurt, biscuits, chips, muffins, custard, and popcorn as well as filtered water.
A bottle of water and a bottle of juice from home are compulsory, particularly in Summer.
If your child has intolerances to certain foods, please make sure you pack all meals and snacks in the bag every day. This does not reduce the monthly school fee you pay. This option is an all or nothing option, whether your child either eats with the school or not at all.

08. Outings

Where transport can be arranged, an outing will take place once or twice a year. Parents will need to sign indemnity forms and send along extra food or money.

10. Potty Training

Parents must please co-operate with teachers and the school, by continuing with potty training at home as it is done at school.

Parents must read all material the school gives them regarding potty training and be supportive as far as soiled clothes and underwear are concerned.

11. Liability

We shall do our utmost best to ensure the safest and most secure environment for your child. However, neither Kimmie Kids nor its staff nor the official landlord accepts liability for the following:

The parent or legal guardian agrees to fully release, indemnify, defend, and forever discharge this preschool, its owners, staff, employees, and agents of and from all liability, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions, and causes of action in respect of death, injury, loss, or damage to the child, or by the child, howsoever caused, arising out of or to arise by reason of or during the child’s participation in the preschool.
